Annotation | This booklet focuses on selected highlights of the main report of the same title, to convey the essential trends, challenges and potential that NACA sees Canadian society now facing in respect of an ageing population. It projects that in 2041, 22.6 per cent of the country's population will be of pensionable age. The main report is divided into six thematic chapters: diversity of seniors; health and well-being; maintaining autonomy; financial security; work and transition to retirement; intergenerational issues. The full report also contains the sources on which NACA's detailed analysis is based. (KJ). |
