AnnotationThis directory, which was commissioned by Help the Aged, is the first attempt to collect and publish information about the wide range of services and groups working with older people from minority ethnic groups in London. It lists some 600 services providing advice and information, social groups, day care, home visiting, befriending, home care, lunch clubs and counselling. Included are services for Black people, African, African Caribbean, and Asian people, and people form the Middle and Far East. Also included are services for Irish and Jewish people, and groups for refugees and asylum seekers. The directory is organised into London-wide services, sections by Borough, social service department (SSD) contacts, and other other useful organisations. (RH).
