AnnotationThis paper seeks to aid the integration of standards of ageing curricula in US graduate schools of social work. The author examines field work and practical experiences of 38 graduate social work students who also completed gerontology certificate courses. Data were gathered through content analysis of field work, practice contracts and field evaluation summaries. Study findings reflect a variety of learning expectations and opportunities at micro and macro levels. Curriculum implications to better prepare students for gerontological social work are presented.
