Annotation | Nursing home administrators in a rural southern state of the US were surveyed to determine the level of nutrition services provided to residents. Most nursing homes reported employing a consulting dietitian, most of the residents were on modified diets, and 37% of hospital admissions were related to nutritional problems. In the facilities surveyed, it appeared that more nutrition services were needed. (RH). |
