Annotation | Those with expertise in the field of dementia need to pass on their knowledge to other medical and social care professionals who come into contact with dementia patients. Few staff understand what dementia is, or can cope with the kind of behaviour that can result from having impaired memory, reasoning or learning. Suggestions are made for making hospital acute wards more "dementia friendly." (RH). |
