Annotation | For the purposes of the Workshop, collaborative commissioning is defined as the overarching activity whereby jointly agreed plans are translated into action on the basis of shared vision and values. The workshop had the aim of enhancing local capacity to make a positive difference in people's lives through better inter-agency working. This could be achieved by learning from others, particularly experiences of the five development sites: Easington, Co Durham; Oxfordshire; Wiltshire; Victoria (Westminster); and Hillingdon. All five sites reported on progress in engaging with and listening to their clients. Further work was being undertaken on how older frail and disabled users might be involved in influencing community care provision. (RH). |
