Annotation | The pattern of services for carers and older people was found to vary quite widely in Eastern Wiltshire; and this report reflects views expressed by 42 carers in their written responses to a comments sheet circulated in August and September 1994. Views are reported on the following: housing needs; mobility of both older person and carer; sources of help, advice, or information; coping; services being used; additional or different kinds of help needed; and service likes and dislikes. The issues raised, complementing as they do the work of the Wiltshire Carers' Policy and Strategy, are very important to the way services for older people and the carers are planned and developed. They should, therefore, be shared widely by the Project and incorporated in the development of a strategy for the care of older people. (RH). |
