AnnotationThe purpose of the review was to visit and assess current services and examine future plans for services for frail older people in Dundee. The review team studied documents from Tayside Health Board, Tayside Primary Care NHS Trust, Tayside University Hospital NHS Trust and the local authority, and visited three hospitals and two day hospitals. The main findings are described under four headings: planning and commissioning the service; leadership and management; quality of care; and quality of life for patients. Examples of good practice are listed, and recommendations are made for further developing a good service. (RH).
