Annotation | The major themes for the Fourth Global Conference on Aging are the basic needs and rights of the older person in a society for all, and the factors that cut across and determine how these needs are met. These include: changes in the technologies of communication and production; the provision of secure and accessible facilities through Universal Design; the responsibilities of government, the community, and families; the situation of ethnic minorities and of aboriginal people; and the role of professionals and researchers. This programme lists presentations for plenaries, symposia, workshops, round tables and poster sessions at the conference. (RH). |
