Annotation | In the US, some 80% of older people needing care receive that care from a family member, with adult children and women providing much of this care. This study guide examines such family relationships in six sessions, emphasising role changes, and what these mean to the adult child who assumes responsibility for the primary care of parents, and what these changes mean to the parents. Originally published in 1983 by the Office on Aging, Presbyterian Church (USA), this book is produced for the use of congregations, conferences, or any other purposes that result in assisting adult children caring for their parents and other older family members. No copyright is involved, so pages can be copied as and when required. (RH). |
