AnnotationThe purpose of the review is to assess the extent to which people in Hampshire are well served by social services. It considers: how services are arranged for individual people; how the care needs of the population are planned for; how the authority manages performance and quality; and how well available resources are being used. Throughout the report, the authority's performance is compared with a group of 15 most similar county authorities. A user/carer survey analysis compares responses with those in 43 other authorities where surveys have been completed. The report identifies both strengths and areas where services require more development. (RH).
