AnnotationA perspective is presented on the problems of ageing and ways to help depressed older people, by proposing a constructive model for change. Getting old in constructive terms is described as a season, a journey one takes, and as an integral part of the life cycle. Case examples are presented to demonstrate how older people can change their misconceptions about growing old, accept the changes they are going through, and design and construct new meanings for the present as well as the future.
