Annotation | In June 1997, the Local Government Management Board (LGMB) published the report, "Independent sector workforce survey 1996: residential homes and nursing homes in Great Britain". For the first time, the report provides information on those employed in independent sector homes. To launch the report, a seminar was held. This report is a collation of the presentation notes and materials of each speaker, with copies of the summary survey information for England, Scotland, Wales and Great Britain. Seminar speakers considered why workforce analysis is essential, and looked at key results from the survey. Speakers from the Department of Health (DoH) and the independent sector offered ideas on further workforce analysis. (RH). |
