Annotation | This study reports the results of a brief survey focusing on past accomplishments and future challenges facing the specialised field of cognitive ageing. The survey was posted to 90 senior cognitive developmental psychologists. 36 respondents were asked to identify: significant advances in the field that have occurred in the past half-century; challenges that face those working in the field; and important context areas that should be dealt with when training young researchers who plan to enter the field.
