AnnotationAs part of a project to identify what the continuing and future needs of Asian elders might be, ASRA (the Asian Sheltered Residents Association) commissioned a major London-wide survey of estimates of need, including in-depth interviews with more than 500 Asian elders in the London Boroughs of Newham, Hounslow, Waltham Forest and Greenwich. This article outlines the survey's findings concerning the culturally sensitive management of Asian elders' needs, and on the demographic profiles of black and minority ethnic communities. (RH).
