AnnotationHow we view sexuality in old age reflects the value we ascribe to being old in our society. Nurses aiming to provide holistic care to older people need to consider issues around sexuality as a component of health. There should be a healthy debate on normal sexuality and sexual health in older people, and on the best care for patients with needs concerning HIV/AIDS risk and the effects of drugs prescribed for medical conditions.
