| Annotation | Single-registered care homes which provide all levels of care to older people within one environment is a relatively new idea, originating from the Rowntree Trust. Single care homes appear to offer solutions to some of the problems faced by nursing and residential homes. However, this article concludes that they appear to be concerned more with process, not outcome, and that they fail to address the main issues facing nurses and the older people they care for.
