Annotation | These standards underpin the work of the Health Advisory Service (HAS 2000) in carrying out its remit of evaluating, inspecting and advising mental health services for older people. In this first edition, the standards are presented as a simple list, organised into four "levels": service delivery; organisation of care; inter-agency organisational issues; and planning, integration and commissioning. Also included is a brief description of how the standards were developed. The report of the Royal Commission on Long Term Care was published as this document was being finalised, and its recommendations are therefore not reflected in the standards.(RH). |
