Annotation | Entry into residential and nursing home care has received considerable attention from researchers. However, despite the fact that nursing homes have replaced long-term psychiatric hospitals as care setting for older people with mental disorders, and that there has been considerable literature on challenging behaviour in nursing homes, very little has defined what is meant by "challenging" behaviour. This editorial summarises relevant articles and publications which also cover methodology. (RH). |
