AnnotationPeople with learning disabilities have the same rights of access to health services as anyone else, but services such as primary health care often have problems in meeting their needs. This handbook is aimed at all members of the primary health care team and their staff. It is designed to stimulate further discussion and action to make primary health care services more accessible and responsive to those with learning disabilities. It also aims to identify the points at which the involvement of local specialist services may be helpful. (RH).
