Annotation | The third of six principles underpinning "The new NHS: modern, dependable" is "to get the NHS working in partnership"; and the need to plan and work jointly across professional and agency boundaries is emphasised throughout the White Paper. This paper provides a synthesis of thinking and work on effective partnerships over the last two years in the NHS Executive, North Thames. Some examples of projects are described, including: the Community Health Project (Redbridge and Waltham Forest); Partners for Health - the joint health strategy for Brent; Healthy Islington; and Health and Housing (the Housing Corporation, London Region).
