AnnotationThe original All Party Group for Pensioners was established in 1971. The Commons Group changed its name in June 1997 to the Commons All Party Group for Older People. The Lords Group was established in 1989 to extend the work of the Commons Group into the Lords. Both Groups have worked together since 1998. Age Concern England (ACE) provides the administrative backing to both Groups and ACE's Parliamentary Unit provides a contact point in Parliament for Group members and outside bodies. Continued from 1998 in name as: All Party Parliamentary Group on Ageing and Older People. (KJ).
