Annotation | The Teaching Care Home initiative is a joint enterprise from geriatric medicine, social work, and the charitable and private residential and nursing home sectors. The initiative was launched at this symposium at the Royal Society of Medicine. Tentative models of what a teaching care home might look like, and of the training required were put forward. An account of unsuccessful experiments in the US suggests that we would be advised to innovate rather than imitate any US versions. (RH). |
