AnnotationThis is a compilation of writings from older people around the world on the subject of human rights, which was presented to the United Nations (UN) 37th Session of the Commission on Social development. Writings were selected from more than 400 participants in a global postcard campaign eliciting older people's views on the meaning of human rights, particularly from the vantage of late life. The publication was also initiated to celebrate the dual occurrence of the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights and the 1999 International Year of Older Persons. (RH).
