Annotation | Older prisoners are a small but significant part of the growing prison population in the United States (US). They are disproportionate users of scarce penal mental health resources, and usually have multiple physical and emotional problems. This article describes the prevalence of mentally ill older offenders, and looks at some counselling and psychotherapeutic interventions. (AKM). |
