Annotation | Multipurpose senior centres typically offer a wide variety of activities for their clients; however, few community-dwelling older adults attend these activities. This study evaluated the effects of publicly posted announcements on first-time attendance of participants at two senior centre activities: creative writing and painting. Results suggest that new members were more likely to join groups during, or immediately following, the public posting of information about that group. (AKM). |
