| Annotation | This international journal publishes research and reviews covering the whole spectrum of public health medicine. These include amongst other aspects: the promotion of health and the prevention of ill-health; the planning, provision and evaluation of health services; the monitoring of service trends, outbreaks and environmental hazards; the methodological issues arising from the design and conduct of studies, and, the gathering and application of health information. It also contains a quarterly review on recent incidents of communicable disease from the PHLS (Public Health Laboratory Service) Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre. Book reviews are included. Published quarterly. Annual index in last issue of each volume. Continued as: Journal of Public Health. Journal also changed ISSN with this slight change of title from volume 26 hence new (ISSN).
