AnnotationPersons with dementia and their caregivers are at risk from social isolation. This paper describes an adult day care programme developed to help meet their need for socialisation in a safe and supportive environment. The Spring Swing, an after hours soirée, was designed by adult day care nurses and other staff to introduce members of the community to adult day care and role model techniques that may interrupt disruptive behaviours.
