AnnotationThis is the last of the three part series, "Preparing participants for intergenerational interaction: training for success", the purposes of which are to provide a brief introduction to intergenerational programmes and to present a manual designed to assist in training volunteers. This final part focuses on bringing all training concepts together and selling the intergenerational project to the public. Chapters on groups and group dynamics aim to assist in our understanding of how groups or teams work, the skills required to help them operate most effectively, and how to make best use of time both of trainer and those being trained. A sense of how to market an intergenerational project, both to project volunteers and the general public, is likely to encourage more support and participation in such projects. (RH).
