AnnotationNetwork therapy aims to increase the availability and adequacy of help to the primary caregiver from his or her informal network, and to facilitate links with formal services. This pilot project used a series of seven case studies to explore a network therapy intervention with spouse dementia caregivers in Toronto, Canada. The study demonstrated an increase in assistance from extra caregivers, an increase in the number and frequency of formal services used, and qualitative changes in caregiver coping styles. The implications of the study for future interventions with these caregivers are discussed. (AKM).
