Annotation | This clinical audit scheme is based on the report `Incontinence - causes, management and provision of services' (Royal College of Physicians, 1995). It embraces three types of audit: single patient audit, multiple patient audit, and facility audit. Within each of these, separate questionnaires (intended for photocopying) are provided for urinary incontinence, faecal incontinence and urethral catheter use. The scheme is intended for use wherever practitioners encounter patients with incontinence, including primary care and hospital wards. Like other audit schemes currently in use, it is an educational tool designed to promote good practice in health care. (AKM). |
