AnnotationIn February 1998 the Office of Telecommunications (OFTEL) issued a consultative document on the provision of telecommunication services for people with disabilities. One of the main proposals concerned the development of a Code of Practice for the telecommunications industry which would ensure access to services for people with disabilities. This statement presents OFTEL's conclusions following the consultation, including a number of recommendations to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry. (AKM).
