AnnotationThe London Borough of Tower Hamlets Housing Department, Labo Housing Association and Anchor Housing Trust commissioned this study, which was partly funded by the Housing Corporation's Innovation and Good Practice Programme. The report provides an insight into the history and experiences, family life, housing and care needs of Bangladeshi, Somali, Caribbean, and Chinese elders living in Tower Hamlets. Recommendations are made to improve and develop the provision of housing, social services and health care services to older people from minority ethnic communities, especially Bangladeshi and Somali elders who are currently the most disadvantaged.
