Annotation | Michael Denniss provides background information and results regarding the survey, "Patient satisfaction: the discharge of older people from hospital" written with Gillian Dalley, and published by the Centre for Policy on Ageing (CPA) in 1997. The survey was commissioned by a London health authority. It was found that in fewer that one in five cases were details of patients' conditions and future care were properly communicated to community care providers. Hospital discharge must therefore continue to be a matter of widespread concern. (RH). |
