Annotation | Providers of sheltered housing have had to re-examine their role in the light of the growing care needs of their residents and changing priorities in community care. The author describes the need for change, as experienced by her own organisation, Housing 21 (known originally as the Royal British Legion Housing Association), and its vision for a housing and care service. She concludes that individually-tailored sheltered housing does have a future. (RH). |
