Annotation | Building on day care work with people with dementia has led the author to consider what to when clients could no longer live on their own. She describes the subsequent setting up of a group home called the Lagus-home in Lohja, Finland. People with dementia have a right to the same quality of life as healthy people; and making the way of life homely and as normal as possible has resulted in highly motivated staff and contented residents.
