Annotation | Despite the fact that dementia has gained widespread recognition in the past few decades, the knowledge of its natural history, in terms of progression and prognosis are not yet completely understood. This paper summarises the main findings from the Kungsholmen Project, a longitudinal epidemiological study on dementia that started in 1987 in Stockholm, Sweden. The findings are compared with those of other studies, and suggestions for further research are outlined. (AKM). |
