The rehabilitation case studies — commentary | Author(s) | Peter Thistlethwaite |
Journal title | Managing Community Care, vol 6, issue 4, August 1998 |
Pages | pp 169-170 |
Keywords | Rehabilitation ; Case studies. |
Annotation | Tony Stern and his Hillingdon Total Purchasing Project, and Fiona Shield and the Stone Rehabilitation Centre both appear to have set up their services against the odds, according to the author's comments on these two previous articles in this issue of `Managing Community Care'. The message from literature is that cultural, professional and historic boundaries are greater in primary care than anywhere. The two projects have achieved positive results, but pessimism is expressed that the health service White Paper is unlikely to engender very much real change. (RH). |
