Annotation | Based on a review of the literature as well as available national surveillance data, this article discusses current knowledge about HIV/AIDS in ageing minority ethnic populations in the United States (US), particularly as they relate to sociodemographic, cultural, and health status factors. In addition to older persons infected by the virus, the article also investigates the circumstances of those affected by HIV/AIDS as a result of additional caregiving responsibilities. Recommendations for future research are provided. (AKM). |
