Industry neglects older workers | Journal title | Times Review of Industry, November 1965 |
Pages | pp 94-95 |
Keywords | Employment of older people ; Industries. |
Annotation | Reference is made to the National Plan for raising economic activity rates in less prosperous areas, to reduce the gap in manpower. There was evidence that employment of middle-aged and older people was being obstructed. A government policy which campaigned to disseminate information about training for the older worker, and an enlightened response from industry could improve productivity and bridge the manpower gap which existed in the mid 1960s.
