Annotation | As the life span is extended, more people will experience chronic illness and disability that affects their quality of life and that of those around them. This is the first of two Special Issues of the Journal of Mental Health and Aging which contains reviews of measures that can be used in chronic care settings for those whose assessment is complicated because of factors such as frailty, perceptual and communication problems, and advanced cognitive impairment. This issue includes cognition, communication, vision, behaviour, personality, depression, and affect. (RH). |
