Annotation`Relationships between women in later life' has also been published as Journal of Women and Aging, vo 8, nos 3/4, 1996. It examines several different types of relationships between women in later life. First, long-term, more traditional types of relationships are examined: mothers and daughters, grandmothers and granddaughters, siblings, friends and partners. In the second section, attention is focused on the supportive functions of older women's relationships, exploring the formal and informal relationships of various sub-groups: women with a formal religious affiliation, female farmers/farmworkers, care recipients, and women living in structured environments (i.e. Continuing Care Retirement Communities or CCRCs, and nursing homes).
