Annotation | This report attempts to gather together the current state of knowledge about the needs of people in the early stages of dementia and their carers. It aims to help policy makers, planners and professionals to gain a greater understanding of why early intervention for people with dementia and their carers is vital, and to highlight the initial steps to be taken. The report sets out different perspectives on early psychosocial and drug interventions; discusses advice with regard to driving and dementia; and highlights areas where further evaluative studies are needed.
