AnnotationThe Pennell Initiative for Women's Health is an independent body which exists to direct attention to the health issues which affect women from middle age to very old age, and to develop positive ways to improve opportunities for women to achieve their potential in later life. This booklet illustrates findings of the main report by highlighting the experiences of six typical 'Pennell Women' on: heart disease; the importance of being socially active; incontinence; osteoporosis; and sexual activity and the importance of communication. The key findings and recommendations of the Pennell Initiative are also summarised. (RH).
