Annotation | Providing opportunities for people working in the voluntary sector - whether paid or unpaid - to gain nationally recognised qualifications was the key overall theme of the conference. Much of the focus was on involving young people in the voluntary sector, to acquire skills through organisations such as the Prince's Trust Volunteers (PTV). Other speakers represented the National Advisory Group for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning, the National Lottery Charity Board (NLCB), National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), the New Deal Task Force, and Project 2001.
