AnnotationThe Housing Corporation sets out its future approach to tackling the housing needs of black and minority ethnic individuals, households, and communities. Its objectives include working with local authorities and others to improve the local identification of black and minority ethnic housing needs, establishing locally appropriate approaches, and working towards the elimination of unlawful discrimination and the promotion of equality of opportunity. This document outlines targets and achievements of Corporation strategies 1986-1996; background statistics relating to need; identification of needs; improved used of stock to meet needs; new investment; home ownership; supporting black and minority ethnic associations in dealing with organisational change; and monitoring progress.
