AnnotationThe role and contribution of service user movements and organisations for people with disabilities and other recipients of social care and welfare services is discussed. It is suggested that such forms of user-led involvement will provide a basis for a coherent policy for social services and social care which will redress the balance of consumerism created by the previous government.
