Annotation | The Government is making £11.6 million of mental illness supplementary credit approvals (SCAs) available to local authority social service departments (SSDs) in 1998/99 to fund capital developments for mentally ill people. This circular is issued for action by local authorities who were awarded provisional mental illness SCAs for 1998/99 during the 1997/98 bidding round, and who are required to confirm whether they wish to retain or surrender these resources; and/or wish to bid for any uncommitted resources. The parallel guidance for health authorities is Health service circular HSC 1998/024. This circular should be cancelled on 30 September 1999. (RH). |
