Annotation | It is important that counsellors link their gerontological knowledge with that of various information technologies. Not only must counsellors understand themselves as they work with diverse clients, they must also stay abreast of current information as it relates to older people. The aim of this article is to prepare counsellors to work with senior adult clients through the use of computer technology. The authors present considerations for counsellors that enhance personal growth and development opportunities for older individuals. Various technologies and their practical uses with older people are discussed, and a list of Internet resources is also included. (AKM). |
