Annotation | This article describes a longitudinal study that was carried out in the south of England to examine the stress experienced by women looking after an older person who ahs a dementia. Although studies have been carried out on this subject, this study was designed to look at stress in the context of dementia caregiving, to look at the variables already known to be relevant to caregiving stress, and to try to fit these variables into a model that could be used to predict who and why some carers will experience intolerable levels of stress compared to other carers.
